2006 – Present

Founded the creative studio. Work with a broad range of clients spanning multiple industries. Provide a full suite of creative and technical services, from visual design and site development to content development and graphic design. Select projects include:

Multi-Touch Interface Designer – Downstream

Designed multi-touch user interfaces for the Executive Briefing Center for a world leader in building systems. Created wireframe interaction flows for three multi-touch interactive tables interfaces, an interactive kiosk, and a global welcome wall.

Member, Creative Lead – Defend The City, LLC

Created story and art concept for the online children’s website, that features stories and artwork based around Heart City. Developed all aspects of the website and user experience.

Interactive Web Developer – The Portland That Was…

Developed the online experience for PICA’s Time-Based-Arts festival (TBA:06). Received a letter from a Director at MIT praising the website design and interactivity.

Technical Designer – Metrofiets / Hopworks Pub Bike Stereo

Designed and built a stereo for Hopworks Urban Brewery’s custom designed “pub bike,” which was an internet sensation and earned the title of “Bike of the Year” by Chow.com. The bike was also featured on the Discovery Channel.

Project Manager / Developer – Oregon Sesquicentennial Film Fest

Designed and developed WordPress-based website and promotional materials for Marylhurst University’s 10-day film festival.

Web Designer / Developer – StitesDesign.com

Enhanced usability and aesthetics of the organization’s site. Migrated content from static HTML files to WordPress CMS.

Web Designer / Developer – PDXFUNTIME!

Launched the PHP / MySQL based website PDXFUNTIME!, featuring fun Portland events and a social networking component. First event – Pedal Car Karaoke – garnered local media coverage.

Painting Department Technician – Pacific Northwest College of Art (PNCA)

Assisted in teaching “Beginning Painting.” Designed a new lighting system to improve the “life drawing” studio.

Senior Contractor – ITPDX – Portland, OR

2007 – 2010

Provide PHP web-application architecture and coding for multiple clients. Develop UI’s in FLEX and ActionScript 3.0 that communicate via XML with Cold Fusion backend, with a focus on developing UIs that are intuitive and allow rapid data entry. Key projects included developing a UI for Practical Resource Management, Inc.’s website and building www.ITpdx.com.

Senior Developer – Valet Pay – Los Angeles, CA

2005 – 2007

Created e-commerce / credit card processing system from ground up and integrated the system with two credit card processing gateways. Design included web-application architecture, database development and data encryption / security.

Web Developer – AQUENT – Portland, OR

2004 – 2005

Hand-coded DHTML and JavaScript-based web pages from web designer templates for client sites of Hanlon-Brown Design, including Intel.com.

Provided a wide array of site / UI design, development and IT support services to the Dept. of Economics and Management of Agrobiotechnology Center (EMAC). Led development of the on-line journal, Manuscript Management System. Provided site organization, design, and implementation for Choices Magazine Online and partnered in developing EMAC’s website.
