Here’s a great technical video on how to print a booklet from InDesign. I find this fantastically useful for making book dummies.
If you don’t have a printer that can print on both sides of the paper, this process still works. Make sure that printing of both sides of the paper is disabled and then print using the booklet. You’ll then have to arrange the pages so that the blank sides are facing.
It took me a few minutes to figure out the ordering of the pages and I found page numbers to be extremely helpful. Once you have the pages ordered, you can fold the book down the middle and staple it.
Then using rubber cement or wheat paste, glue the pages together. Works like a charm!
